Unit 7 - What's this is for?

The iPhone is a revolutionary new mobile phone created by Apple that allows you to make a call by simply pointing your finger at a name or number in your address book. It is at the same time a phone and an Ipod of 8 GB, where we can store all our favorite songs and albums. The Iphone design is really slim and amazing.

The Iphone include a 2-megapixel camera and an advanced photo management application. This amazing new phone also give you the chance to easily surf the net and download your email. In Venezuela right now you can find this incredible phone but is very expensive.

Like an iPod, the iPhone charges using the USB 2.0 cable connected to a computer or to the USB Power Adapter. And is really easy to use.

For more information about the Iphone you can visit: http://www.apple.com/iphone/

Unit 5 - Going Places

Hey everybody! I love this unit because we talked about our dream vacations.

One of my dream vacations is to go to California in the United States. I really hope to have the chance to travel there next year. I would like to visit the cities of Los Angeles, San Francisco and Sacramento. Probably I will make this trip by airplane, because is the most confortable way to travel to the United States.

There are a lot of places I want to visit, like Disneyland and Hollywood in Los Angeles, The Golden Gate in San Francisco and some old town in Sacramento. I’m planning to visit all the celebrities' homes in Hollywood. I think that I need a lot of money to make this trip like five or six millions of Bolivares (Bs), because some cities in California are a little bit expensive.

I'm going to stay at my best friend Vicky's home. She live in Woodland, Sacramento. For this trip I really need something very important my passport and an American visa too.

Schehere and Sele in Maracaibo

My best friends Scheherazade and Selene visited Maracaibo for the first time, last october.

They were part of the cast from the venezuelan amazing version of Jesus Christ SuperStar, the incredible musical of broadway of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber.

We visited many places of the city! And all the shows were amazing!

This is a picture with all the cast from the musical with the incredible singer KARINA!

Unit 4 - I've never heard of that

In this unit we talked a little bit about our favorite snack and how to cook it. My favorite snacks are pancakes. My sister make always delicious pancakes.

Ingredients: Flour, 2 eggs, 1 cup of milk and butter
First take three cups of flour and put it in the bowl, then put the milk in the bowl too. Next break the 2 eggs into the bowl and mix it with a spoon.

After that put the mix in a hot pan, then let the pancake mix cook about 5 minutes and finally flip pancake over when the top is brown. And now your pancake should be ready to eat.

Unit 3 - Time for a change!

Ten year ago, I used to live in a big house in Ojeda City but since I moved to Maracaibo I'm living in an small apartment that have three bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room and two bathrooms. At the first years I used to think that the apartement was too small but now I feel very comfortable on it. The positive things are that the apartment isn't it too dark, is quiet and is in a safe neighborhood. However I would like to change some things at my bedroom and the living room. I wish my bedroom could be more spacious and the kitchen more bigger.

The house of my dreams is a big apartment in New York, I love that city and I think that could be some much exciting living there. If the apartment have a nice view to times square could be awesome.

Unit 2 - Caught in the rush

Maracaibo, octubre 2007

Governor of Zulia State Mr. Manuel Rosales

Dear Manuel Rosales. I'm writting you this few lines to talk to you about some serious problems that needs to be improved in our city. Our streets are more dangerous everyday, the crime and violence is everywhere in Maracaibo. We need more protection and security from our regional police. Also we need a better public transportation system, more modern and comfortable buses for the people and students in the city. The traffic jams are a really huge problem in Maracaibo everyday at almost every hour of the day, not only at the rush hour. However, I have to say that is really good to see how our city is grow up more everyday and how you are working and fighting for our right and freedom in this dark times that our country is living.

Thank you for your time!

Transformers

Since a I was a kid I love Transformers!

Everyday I saw the TV serie in Venevisión and I had a lot of toys and things about them. I used to play a lot with my Autobots. My favorite Transformer is Optimus Prime and I remember that I won a contest making some drawings of him.

I saw the new movie about Transformers and I thing is awesome, all the special effects and the story. I can't wait for the next movie... and see what Starcreen going to do to asume the leadership of the decepticons.

This is one of my AUTOBOTS!

Unit 1 - Childhood Memories

In the last weeks I was talking with my grandmother and she told me some things about her childhood. She was born in Tia Juana in 1940 and she grew up in Lagunillas.

She used to play with dolls like all the girls and she loves to have fun with other kids from her neighborhood. She was always playing a lot of different typical venezuelan games with her friends.
At the age of 13 she visited for the first time the city of maracaibo. She always remember that trip because the Maracaibo brige didn't exist.

Unit 10: Have you ever ridden a camel?

This is an interesting questions but I haven't been in egipt yet. I hope one day I have the chance to visit it.

I have traveled to the United States two times in my life. Those trips were awesome. I have been in three Backstreet Boys' Concerts, one in Orlando and the other two in Ft.Lauderdale. When I visited Orlando I didn't have the enough time to visit all the parks but I had a lot of fun.

I haven't been in Europe, but maybe I will visit some countries like Italy, Spain or France in the future.
